Earworm Alert
mistereee: speaking of female drummers, have you heard this band?
mistereee:
mistereee: J and i think the drummer is cool
jantzie: that is totally going to be me
jantzie: but I’ll wear a bra
mistereee: hehe
NOTE TO SELF: How about you be able to rock one of the three solos from this video by the end of 2010? Dang self, you better get after it. Let me know how it goes.
I don’t know if it’s the economy, allergies, or lack of recent celebrity dirt naps, but I’m feeling a bit blue today. Thus I’ve tuned my Pandora dials into a station I lovingly refer to as “with the tracks, not against.”
Anyhoo, I’m a bit slow on the musical draw to begin with, but Pandora has been referring me to some great bands I’ve never heard. I’m particularly fascinated with the sound of Dr. Dog; it’s like my ears stole a time machine to the 1970’s. As I am but a wee lass, I pretended I was going to high school in the 1970s if 1990s equaled 1970s. This is going to be a shocker, so I hope you’re sitting down – I didn’t have many friends in school. Unless you count Freddy Mercury and David Gates.
No sense in washing out your ears cause it’s about to get all funkay in there! Holla white people style, “woot woot!”

I think we (myself and my momz) all can agree, I need some hobbies. But I’m either (1) working all the time or (2) have no one to do them with or (3) incredibly lazy. So I combined all those and created a podcast with Don Jeem that we record once or twice a week during our afternoon break. Thus, “Your Lucky Break.” Clever.
We have recorded three episodes to date:
“Begin the Beguine” [Episode 1 - 04.02.09]
“Drift to the Left” [Episode 2 - 04.07.09]
“The Brassy Canoe” [Episode 3 - 04.09.09]
PS Please ignore my use of “literally” and “he’s all like.” I’m trying shock therapy to break this habit, I’ll let you know how it goes.
